“ Stopped in town for a quick walk as we were driving through. Saw this place and all their tempting treats through the window and couldn't resist! This is a review of the small bakery (just down the road from the cafe) We got a cheese scone (which was really good, and very cheesy!) We got an apple caramel slice (which had lovely pastry and loads of apple in the middle, and tasted great) And we got a piece of the mint rocky road (was a very big portion and was very nice, although the mint chocolate on top was clearly one of those 'own brand' chocolate bars which has a strange unpleasant minty taste) Prices were good and we did really enjoy eating everything. Will come back next time we're in the area. ”

Staff were so friendly and helpful, really taking the time to advise and double check some of our groups dietary restrictions/allergies. “ Lovely spot to stop for a drink and bite to eat. Inside feels like an old fashioned cafe with booths and carpet floors but then there is an outside area which feels like stepping into the Mediterranean with grape vines growing all over the canopy ceiling and heating. We had Latte and scones which were all excellent and our dog was allowed in the outside seating area with us. Service with a smile, great atmosphere and reasonable prices. ”
“ Cafe in Thornton Le Dale, menu was not sophisticated but the food was very good and reasonably priced. Coffee was from a machine (not a barista) but was ok. I had the biggest Rocky Road ( with a Fredo on top) I have ever seen! It was very good but tbh it was too much and made me feel ill!! Probably could have been a third of the size but, I guess, there would be no room for a complete Fredo!! Happily visit again. Nice gift and card shop on the way out. ”
